Hello you internet fiends,
This is your official Adopt-a-Candidate X-play update!
There are five teams signed up to produce a play this edition, with the possible addition of a sixth. If you still have a burning desire to get involved, please email extremeexchange@gmail.com as soon as possible to try to get in on the action!
Extreme Exchange is interested in fostering creativity amongst our artists. We do like to allow them choice, but we also like to provide unexpected elements to the X-plays. This challenges writers and artists to question their own assumptions, and to try to see things from views other than their own. For this X-play, we are providing each team with a randomly selected list of Presidential candidates, and they may choose one from the list as the central topic of their play.
The candidates at the moment include Mitt Romney, Ron Paul, Hillary Rodham Clinton, Bill Richardson, Mike Gravel, Barak Obama, Dennis Kucinish, Joe Biden, John McCain, Fred Thompson, Duncan Hunter, Rudy Guiliani, Tom Tancredo, and Mike Huckabee.
Some of these candidates are fairly well known, while others are more obscure. In the next few weeks, we’ll be posting some interesting facts and tidbits about these candidates, as well as updates from the XX teams! The writers have chosen their candidates, and soon will be cranking out a first draft to give to the directors, who are amassing talented actors at this very moment.
